‘Secondary English academics don’t train college students the best way to learn.
We aren’t taught the best way to train college students the best way to learn.’ However her Twitter profile
says she is a Literacy educator • teacher-scholar. Learn extra HERE.

Simply because I don’t train kids decoding and phonics
doesn’t imply I’m not a literacy instructor. Attacking my work to your promotion
and engagement is bizarre.

It has nothing to do with promotion.

I believed, maybe wrongly, {that a} literacy skilled ought to
know why youngsters can’t decode. I’m not even a educated instructor and I do know.
Have you ever bothered to know? Maybe it’s time to know in order that we might collectively
scale back illiteracy.

I then
copy-pasted a definition from the Web as follows:

Literacy academics give attention to enhancing the studying expertise of
their college students.  They could be recognized by
a number of different titles, akin to studying instructor or studying specialist. They work with college students
who want further help in  studying at
grade stage.

The place did I say, on this tweet that you just referenced, that I
don’t know why college students are unable to decode?
You made an incorrect assumption.
My level was that secondary English schooling doesn’t put together academics to
train the basics of the best way to learn.

Thanks. Maybe chances are you’ll educate me along with your information of
why youngsters are unable to decode.
I’ll then share it in my weblog for readers to
study out of your expertise.

Notice: Does
this lady know why kids can’t decode?
If she is aware of
why youngsters can’t decode why is she not sharing it with the others?

If she doesn’t, ought to she not
talk about this matter overtly in order that she is not going to be ignorant for the remainder of her
life?

I simply
realised that she has blocked me.

How will we
ever scale back illiteracy if academics say they don’t know the best way to train youngsters to
learn and but refuse to have an open dialogue in order that others might profit from
our dialogue?
