Defining dyscalculia – A life much less bizarre


If you already know about dyslexia, you’ll in all probability have heard about dyscalculia too – a problem in understanding quantity and quantity processes. Typically they’ll co-occur.

For younger individuals in Scotland who’ve dyscalculia, it may be arduous to have interaction with maths and numbers in any respect, leaving them feeling excluded from some studying.

Since Scotland’s curriculum is designed to be inclusive, it’s actually necessary that academics can perceive, recognise and help dyscalculia.

On Monday 25 April 2022, Training Scotland revealed the Scottish Working Definition of Dyscalculia.
